Welcome to the website for the Roman Catholic Church of Saint Philip and Saint James in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Our parish family has a rich, colorful history dating back to the 1800’s. From the beginning, with worship in private homes, to our present surroundings, we continue to strive to be the kind of parish family God wants: united in faith and love and in service to each other. The life of our parish engages us in four areas, each reflecting an aspect of the life of the Gospel: worship, discipleship, fellowship and stewardship. We are also committed to being a support to one another by our example: by our common worship, by our unanimous profession of, and fidelity to, a common faith; by the sharing of our diverse strengths and by the mutual acknowledgement of our weaknesses; by our unity with our Catholic brothers and sisters throughout the world; and by simple human friendship. If you are looking for reassurance, encouragement, mutuality, security, support and warmth, and if you believe and trust in God our Father and recognize Him in His Son Jesus Christ, then please consider becoming part of our parish family. If you are new to the area, we welcome you to our community. If you have been a neighbor, we would like to know you better and make ourselves better known to you.
