Food for the Needy

The Catholic Charities Food Pantry in Phillipsburg provides free groceries to individuals and families with limited resources.

St. Philip & St. James Church collects food items on behalf of the Food Pantry. Food is collected the first Sunday of each month in the Church at the Masses. Items should be placed before the altar or in the boxes inside the back entrances.

Adopt-a-Missionary

Around the world, many Catholic missionaries are in need of financial support.

St. Philip & St. James Church collects donations on behalf of these missionaries. Cans are placed at all exits once a month after Masses.

Second Collections

Second collections are separated from first collections and counted. The total amount from the collection is given in one total check to the designated recipient. If the collection is designated to a particular church fund, the total amount is placed into that section of the church's account for the intended use.
