Preparation for the Sacrament of First Communion for 2026
Dress Code
Parents are encouraged to be prudent when dressing their children for First Holy Communion. The children should dress in a way that shows respect for the Lord Jesus and for the holiness of this sacred and special event. Please refer to the following requirements:
Girls
- White First Communion Dress
- Please no bare shoulders or exceedingly short dresses
- Dress shoes and socks (no sneakers or sandals)
- Communion Veil is optional
- No gloves may be worn, nor may anything be held in their hands during the Mass
Boys
- White Suit
- Dress shoes and socks (no sneakers or sandals)
- Nothing may be held in their hands during the Mass
- White armband is optional
For First Reconciliation, the children should be dressed nicely – as they should be for Sunday Mass or other special event.

Se sugiere que los padres usen buena prudencia al vestir a sus hijos para la Primera Comunión. Los niños deben vestirse de una manera que muestre respeto por el Señor Jesús y por la santidad de este evento sagrado y especial. Consulte las siguientes normas:

- Zapatos de vestir y medias/calcetines (no zapatos deportivos ni sandalias)
- El velo de comunión es opcional
- No se pueden usar guantes ni tener nada en sus manos durante la Misa
Niños
- Esmoquin blanco
- Zapatos de vestir y medias/calcetines (no zapatos deportivos ni sandalias)
- No pueden tener nada en sus manos durante la Misa
- El brazalete de brazo blanco es opcional
Para la Primera Penitencia, los niños deben vestirse bien, como si van para la
misa dominical u otros eventos especiales.
