Dear Family!

Reflection: Saint Pope John Paul II in meditating on the distance between God’s perspective of things and ours dedicated a whole encyclical in teaching us,“The desire for knowledge is so great and it works in such a way that the human heart, despite its experience of insurmountable limitation, yearns for the infinite riches which lie beyond, knowing that there is to be found the satisfying answer to every question as yet unanswered.” (Fides et Ratio, 16, Pope John Paul II)

God’s revelation of eternal truth to us finds in us the receptive, docile, ever-recreating and mission (Christ) oriented church. God’s revelation of his love and generosity for us in turn make us Christians who are fully alive! God’s revelations are meant to build the Kingdom of God as opposed to destruction and the culture of hate and division. Every Christian who longs for God’s continued revelation longs for the civilization of love.

The parable in the Gospel is another revelation of God who is merciful and generous. This revelation is for the building up of the Kingdom of God. Our acts of kindness, generosity, patience, compassion, forgiveness, understanding, accepting, respecting of each other, though seen in isolation at times, have their purpose and roots in the building up of the Kingdom of God. By showing love, you are building, by showing hate and division, you destroy what you built. Our thoughts, our ways have failed us many times - don’t we want to adhere to God’s thoughts and God’s ways? God’s thoughts and ways are found only in our sincere love for one another. Let us live like citizens of the Kingdom of God!

Eucharistic Revival Monthly Seminar: The last seminar on “How a lay person understands and approaches the Eucharist” was very beneficial to many who attended, I welcome you to the next important seminar titled “Eucharist and Parish Life”. Father Brian Nolan will be here on Tuesday the 3rd of October at 6:30pm. I thank the 72 Disciples Ministry in hosting this event for us. I thank my friend Father Brian Nolan in accepting our invitation to come here.

Garden Ministry: I thank you for volunteering to be part of this ministry. You can still be part of this ministry. Please call the parish office 908-454-0112.

Parish Census: This is a huge undertaking, and we need a lot of hands to accomplish this task. I request you to pray for all the volunteers who are part of this task. More information will follow.

Blessing of Animals: Fr. Patrick Boyle OFM will do a special prayer and bless all the animals on Sunday, 1st of October at 12:30pm in the Church Parking Lot (Mercy Hall). Please bring all your pets and all animals! St. Francis, Pray for us!

Parish Historian: If you would like to help our parish in being the Parish Historian (Collecting information, photos, and compiling them) please call me at the parish office 908-454-0112.

All Ministry Revision: With the advent of Fr. Wilson, we are revising all the ministries in our parish. Please contact your ministry leaders and be informed of changes and revisions. Do not hesitate to ask help from any clergy. We are here to serve you!

¡Querida familia!

Reflexión: San Papa Juan Pablo II al meditar sobre la distancia entre la perspectiva de Dios sobre las cosas y la nuestra dedicó toda una encíclica enseñándonos: “El deseo de conocimiento es tan grande y obra de tal manera que el corazón humano, a pesar de su experiencia de limitación insuperable, anhela las riquezas infinitas que se encuentran más allá, sabiendo que se puede encontrar la respuesta satisfactoria a cada pregunta aún sin respuesta”. (Fides et Ratio, 16, Papa Juan Pablo II)

La revelación de Dios de la verdad eterna a nosotros encuentra en nosotros la iglesia receptiva, dócil, siempre recreativa y orientada a la misión (Cristo). ¡La revelación de Dios de su amor y generosidad para con nosotros a su vez nos convierte en cristianos plenamente vivos! Las revelaciones de Dios están destinadas a construir el Reino de Dios en lugar de la destrucción y la cultura del odio y la división. Todo cristiano que anhela la revelación continua de Dios anhela la civilización del amor.

La parábola del Evangelio es otra revelación de Dios misericordioso y generoso. Esta revelación es para la edificación del Reino de Dios. Nuestros actos de bondad, generosidad, paciencia, compasión, perdón, comprensión, aceptación y respeto mutuo, aunque a veces se ven de forma aislada, tienen su propósito y raíces en la edificación del Reino de Dios. Al mostrar amor, estás construyendo, al mostrar odio y división, destruyes lo que construiste. Nuestros pensamientos, nuestros caminos nos han fallado muchas veces. ¿No queremos adherirnos a los pensamientos y los caminos de Dios? Los pensamientos y caminos de Dios se encuentran sólo en nuestro amor sincero unos por otros. ¡Vivamos como ciudadanos del Reino de Dios!

Seminario Mensual de Avivamiento Eucarístico: El último seminario sobre “Cómo un laico entiende y aborda la Eucaristía” fue muy beneficioso para muchos de los que asistieron. Les doy la bienvenida al próximo seminario importante titulado “Eucaristía y vida parroquial”. El padre Brian Nolan estará aquí el 3 de octubre a las 6:30 p.m. Agradezco al Ministerio 72 Discípulos por organizar este evento para nosotros. Agradezco a mi amigo el Padre Brian Nolan por aceptar nuestra invitación de venir aquí.
