Dear Family!

Reflection: From the 18th Sunday on we have been closely reflecting on the personality of Peter in the Gospel Readings: Peter played a huge role in the multiplication of loaves (18th), walks on the water (19th) intercedes for the Canaanite woman (20th), declares his confession and conviction that Jesus is the Son of God (21st), learns from Jesus to take up and carry the cross (22nd), learns about community building (23rd) and learns the secrets of happiness and peace to be shared with the community in the readings for this this Sunday (24th).

We could in a way see the reflection of St. Peter in all Christians from all these biblical passages that reveal the personality of St. Peter. Today’s Gospel talks about forgiveness at home circles, finding models of holiness at home. Forgiveness is a personal choice, a personal initiative, a decision of the heart to go against the natural instinct of ‘payback’ or ‘revenge’

Saint John Paul II wrote “As a natural institution, the family community was willed by God in the "beginning", with the creation of man and woman, for the good of humanity. Family’s identity and mission is willed by God to ‘guard, reveal and communicate love’. Every family must be a true communion of persons, with respect to the dignity of the members who compose it. Family for the people of our time is a "sanctuary of life". Christian family is a "domestic church". The family that lives the requirements of love and forgiveness to the full becomes the main bulwark of the civilization of love and the hope for the future of humanity.” (Familiaris Consortio).

Bishop in town: Our bishop will be celebrating the 9am Mass on the 24th of September. Please make every effort to pray with our parish community and get our Bishop’s blessings. Our Welcoming Committee will be hosting the Bishop at Mercy Hall after the 9am Mass. Please join us!

Eucharistic Revival Monthly Seminar: On September 13th we had the 5th talk presented by lay people. It was a great opportunity for all of us to share and learn our faith together. As I mentioned in Sunday Announcements, these monthly Seminars are only organized in our parish for the entire diocese. It is indeed a great opportunity for all of you! I thank the 72 Disciples Ministry in hosting this event for us. A special word of thanks to Dan Amabile and Dolores Wright from Flemington who were the lay presenters of the seminar.

Altar-Server Prayer Service & Training: I thank all the parents and children who were part of the special prayer service presided by Fr. Wilson. Fr. Wilson will be the director for the Altar-Servers. Please enroll your children in this important ministry as they grow close to Jesus in the Eucharist. Future vocations depend on it! I also thank the Welcoming Committee in hosting the gathering at Mercy Hall. I request the parents to kindly help Fr. Wilson in building this ministry for the good of the parish.

Garden Ministry: We have done a great job in beautifying the inside of the church, The church needs a facelift outside with nice plants and flowers. We are a forming a garden group that could work with me in beautifying the space around church. If you would like to help us with Gardening, please call the office 908-454-0112.

All Ministry Revision: With the advent of Fr. Wilson, we are revising all the ministries in our parish. Please contact your ministry leaders and be informed of changes and revisions. Do not hesitate to ask help from any clergy. We are here to serve you!

¡Querida familia!

Reflexión: Desde el domingo 18 en adelante hemos estado reflexionando de cerca sobre la personalidad de Pedro en las lecturas del Evangelio: Pedro jugó un papel muy importante en la multiplicación de los panes (18), camina sobre el agua (19), intercede por la mujer cananea (20). ), declara su confesión y convicción de que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios (21), aprende de Jesús a tomar y llevar la cruz (22), aprende sobre la construcción de comunidades (23) y aprende los secretos de la felicidad y la paz para ser compartidos. con la comunidad en las lecturas de este domingo (24).

Visita de nuestro Obispo: Nuestro obispo celebrará la Misa de las 9 am el 24 de septiembre. Haga todo lo posible para orar con nuestra comunidad parroquial y obtener las bendiciones de nuestro Obispo. Nuestro Comité de Bienvenida recibirá al Obispo en Mercy Hall después de la Misa de las 9 am. ¡Únase a nosotros!

Seminario Mensual de Avivamiento Eucarístico: El 13 de septiembre tuvimos la 5ta charla presentada por laicos. Fue una gran oportunidad para todos nosotros de compartir y aprender nuestra fe juntos. Como mencioné en los Anuncios dominicales, estos Seminarios mensuales solo se organizan en nuestra parroquia para toda la diócesis. ¡De hecho es una gran oportunidad para todos ustedes! Agradezco al Ministerio 72 Discípulos por organizar este evento para nosotros. Un agradecimiento especial a Dan Amabile y Dolores Wright de Flemington, quienes fueron los presentadores laicos del seminario.

Servicio y capacitación de oración del monaguillo: Agradezco a todos los padres y niños que fueron parte del servicio especial de oración presidido por el P. Wilson. P. Wilson será el director de los Monaguillos. Por favor inscriba a sus hijos en este importante ministerio para que se acercan más a Jesús en la Eucaristía. ¡Las futuras vocaciones dependen de ello! También agradezco al Comité de Bienvenida por ser anfitrión de la reunión en Mercy Hall. Pido a los padres que tengan la amabilidad de ayudar al P. Ministerio de Jardinería: Hemos hecho un gran trabajo embelleciendo el interior de la iglesia. La iglesia necesita un lavado de cara por fuera con bonitas plantas y flores.
